COS-7D
VERY SMALL
VERSATILE LAVALIER
Preliminary Information – Shipping Date TBA
NEW – COS-7D – Smaller Variation of the COS-11D
Suited to Music as well as Speech
The new COS-7D is an an ultra-miniature variation of the popular COS-11D, winner of an AMPAS, Scientific and Engineering Award.
The COS-7D differs from the COS-11D in that it has a flatter and wider frequency response, making it suitable for both music and voice recording in broadcast, live and production environments.
It is also only 0.76″ tall compared with 1″ for the COS-11D, it also has a slimmer cable – a perfect combination of ultra high audio quality and very small and unobtrusive form factor.
Like the COS-11D it is available in black, grey, beige and white colors. Varations in conntectivity will be announced at a later date.

Versatile Lavalier Mic Based on the Industry Standard COS-11D Technology
The COS-7D lavalier microphone is the result of a joint development effort between US distributor plus24 and the Sanken engineering team, the goal, to produce a smaller variation of the COS-11D but with a smoother response to widen the mic’s application to include music as well as production and broadcast. In both applications there is a need for ultra high quality while satisfying the concealment requirements of high-resolution broadcast, live, film and video.
Ideal for voice or instruments in live broadcasting, location recording and studio applications, the COS-7D utilizes the world’s most advanced precision craftsmanship for the ultimate in sensitivity, natural sound and hidden capabilities.
The proprietary vertical diaphragm introduced by Sanken is an example of its innovative and unique product designs. Often simulated, Sanken products provide the optimum results and the highest quality available today.
- Wide pick-up area “plant mic”
- Ultra-miniaturization plus high performance for concealment applications
- High output and low noise with extremely smooth omni-directional pattern control over a wide frequency range
- Exclusive PPS (Poly-phenylene-sulfide) diaphragm provides dramatically higher humidity and temperature stability, outperforming all other condenser lavaliers
- Vertical diaphragm placement protects against moisture
- Built-in 3-layer windscreen minimizes pops, sibilance and wind noise
- Holder clip provides critical distance between microphone and clothing for avoidance of
mechanical/surface noise
